When:
This virtual five-week series meets weekly on Wednesday evenings.
The series begins on Wednesday, April 24th, 2024.
The series ends on Wednesday, May 22nd, 2024.
Time:
Class begins at 6pm and ends at 7:30pm.
Location:
Each week class will meet virtually via Zoom.
You only need to register once for the whole series.
Once you have the Zoom Link for class you can re-use that same link to attend classes weekly during this series.
If you need to miss a week that is ok just send Candace an email or text in advance.
After each class, a follow-up email will be sent with the class recording so folks can experience the class if they missed it.
To allow for potentially new participants to join the series we will have rolling registration.
For each week's class any new participant has until midnight the Tuesday before our Wednesday class to register via the link below.
(For example: Folks have until midnight on Tuesday, April 23rd to register and receive the Zoom link for class on Wednesday, April 24th. Before the next class on May 1st, a link of the April 24th class will be emailed to the email you provide in registration so you can review it or experience it if you were late to class or missed it. That same link can be used for all remaining classes in this series. However, if you are joining this series later on and you want to take your first class on May 8th (for example), you have until midnight on May 7th to register for May 8th's class. The link will be emailed to the email you provide in the registration form the morning of class on May 8th.)

Series Description:
Embodied Wholeness is a virtual space for folks to connect to their whole bodies and get to know themselves more deeply. In this series, we will co-create a space where we can explore the themes of grief, identity and change. We will utilize practices like: somatic reflections, yin & restorative yoga, journaling and connection to land and one's ancestors as pathways that are rooted in embodied wholeness.

My approach to teaching is informed by decades of working in the field of oppression-based trauma as well as a lifetime of living with chronic pain. My style is rooted in the lineage of Hatha Yoga with an emphasis on self inquiry, encouraged autonomy within your personal practice and always g e n t l e n e s s. We move slowly, take time through out practice to observe and the vibe of every class is centered around REST as a REVOLUTIONARY act of both self & communal LOVE.

What to expect and how to prepare?
Each week participants will:
- explore the themes of wholeness, grief, identity and change
- use reflection prompts to explore through journaling, yoga and somatic practices
Participants will need to bring:
- a yoga mat, blocks, pillows, blanket
- a journal (digital or paper with writing utensil)
- bring items to class that ground them in their connections to land and their ancestors
- any objects that ground your nervous system (for example: plant medicine, weighted blankets, aromatherapy, tea, stones/crystals etc.)
